Dr. Duke Okoro, hails from Ekrokpe town in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. He had his primary and secondary education at a very early age and obtained a Bachelor of Technology (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology Akure, between 1994/1995. He later proceeded to the prestigious University of Benin, Benin City Edo State between 1998/2000 where he obtained an M.Sc. in Environmentally Chemistry. However, his drive and interest in education didn’t end there. Between 2004/ 2005, he obtained a PhD in Environmental Analytical Chemistry from the University of Benin, Nigeria.

Dr. Duke Okoro is a great achiever, a scholar, publisher, and academician par excellence. His profile span through an excellent project management skills, technical writing and presentation skills complemented by proficiency in many computer applications including Microsoft Suites and Statistical Softwares, strong verbal and written communication skills including experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and general project correspondence with clients and government regulators.

He is also a seasoned academia with excellence in environmental Studies, risk management and laboratory development consultancies with track record of success in University Administration including Member of University Governing Council representing congregation.

Dr. Duke Okoro has excellent interactive, chemometrics and project management skills that have culminated in the development and completion of over 80 Environmental Studies in the Oil/Gas and related sectors.

As a lecturer, he taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various tertiary institutions. He has also served as Acting/Head of Departments in Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State and Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria. No doubt, Dr. Duke Okoro is a man of technical skills, professional and leadership experience with a plethora of academic achievements. He obtained a Certificate of Achievement from Harvard University, USA in 2020 on the Foundational Principles of Exercising Leadership.
